MARENGO — Residents who haven’t voted before Tuesday may go to their precinct polling sites between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Nov. 5 to cast their ballots.
Whether Benton, Iowa and Poweshiek County voters make their choices known on Election Day or by absentee ballot preceding Nov. 5, here’s what they’ll be voting for.

Ballots will also ask voters to choose township trustees, soil and water conservation commissioners and agricultural extension council members. Iowans will decide which justices and judges should retain their offices.
Iowa ballots will ask voters across the state if the Iowa Constitution should be amended to say that only U.S. citizens aged 18 or older and meeting state and county residency requirements may vote in all elections.
Another proposed amendment to the constitution would make the lieutenant governor acting governor if the governor is temporarily disabled. It would provide that the lieutenant governor or lieutenant governor-elect be the governor or governor-elect in case of the resignation, death or permanent disability of the governor or governor-elect.
Voters in the Williamsburg Community School District in Iowa and Johnson Counties will decide whether or not to allow the school board to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $22.34 million for an addition to the elementary school building and to renovate the junior/senior high school and elementary school.
