Poweshiek County Historical Society to hear about Grinnell’s Candyland
MONTEZUMA — The Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet Thursday, Oct. 3 at 1:30 p.m.in the Carnegie building at 200 S. Third St. in Montezuma.
The public is invited to hear about Grinnell's Candyland, presented by Roberta See. Refreshments will be served.
During the American Legion's car show Saturday, Sept. 28, the three historical buildings on South Third Street in Montezuma — the former Poweshiek County jail and sheriff’s office, Scott township rural school and the Carnegie research library — will be open to the public for tours.
Volunteers with the Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society will be on hand to answer questions.
