Poweshiek County offers satellite voting

MONTEZUMA — Missy Eilander, Poweshiek County auditor and commissioner of elections, said the county will provide a satellite absentee voting station for the Nov. 4 election.
Residents may cast an absentee ballot for the city and school election at Drake Library’s Community room Oct. 20 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
the library is located at 930 Park St. in Grinnell.
Voter’s will be required to provide valid identification, that is, an Iowa driver’s license, an Iowa non-operator ID, a U.S. passport, a military ID, a veteran’s ID, a voter ID with a four-digit PIN or a tribal ID.
Ballots for all voters in Poweshiek County will be available, as will voter registration forms for those who need to register to vote or change names or addresses.
Voters needing to register or change name or address will need to provide proof of identity along with proof of residency.
Voters may also vote absentee at the County Auditor’s Office in Montezuma from Oct. 15 through Nov. 3. Courthouse hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
