Poweshiek County Public Health hosts health and resource fair

GRINNELL — UnityPoint Health—Grinnell Poweshiek County Public Health will conduct its second annual Health and Resource Fair Friday, May 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at Hotel Grinnell Ballroom located at 925 Park St. in Grinnell.

This free event is designed to connect seniors, their families and caregivers with vital health resources and services available in the local community. No registration required.

The Health and Resource Fair brings together a wide range of organizations, businesses and agencies offering support, education and resources that enhance the health, wellness and overall living situations of older adults, said UnityPoint in a press release.

The fair aims to bridge the gap between the community’s wealth of opportunities and the older population who may have difficulty navigating and accessing these services.

The Health and Resource Fair will feature a variety of informative booths, with health care professionals, businesses and community organizations available to answer questions and provide resources for seniors, their families and caregivers.

Attendees can plan to learn more about nutrition, mental health, senior housing, volunteer opportunities, insurance options and guidance, health care services, memorial planning and coordination and physical health and exercise.
