Prairie Meadows donates $25,000 to UnityPoint Health — Grinnell
GRINNELL — Prairie Meadows recently awarded UnityPoint Health-Grinnell Regional Medical Center a Community Betterment Grant totaling $25,000, the hospital announced in a press release.
The grant will help fund GRMC’s labor and delivery unit expansion which will improve access to maternal health services by increasing the capacity from 250 to 350 deliveries annually, the hospital says.
It will improve maternal health outcomes by providing more space to care for patients, especially when handling acute and unexpected medical needs of the patients, and it will have a significant positive impact on rural communities.
This project is expected to be completed in 2026, the hospital said.
