Purrfectly relaxing: Kitten yoga brings smiles

GRINNELL -- A no-kill animal shelter conducted a kitten yoga class this month to raise money.
On June 12, the Paul W. Ahrens Fitness Center hosted Kitten Yoga. All proceeds go to Poweshiek Animal League Shelter located south of Grinnell.
About 15 attendees participated in a regular yoga class surrounded by feline friends, raising $450 was raised for PALS.
PALS’ mission is to provide care, shelter and permanent placement for companion animals. They provide a safe haven and veterinary care to homeless cats and dogs, and match them with individuals and families who benefit from the companionship.
