Raider girls soccer team pushes through tough season
Producing points has been a real problem for the Williamsburg girls' soccer team so far this season. The Raiders have been shut out five of seven times, including their last four meets in a row.
Last week, Independence and Clear Creek Amana laid goose eggs on Williamsburg, 5-0 and 1-0.
Benton Community and Center Point-Urbana blanked the Raiders the previous week, 5-0 and 3-0, and Newton did the same to open the season, 2-0.
The two times they've scored, Williamsburg has beaten Clayton Ridge 2-1 and West Delaware 7-1.
Coach Tim Jones hopes to get his offense going this week in matches on the road Tuesday against Mount Vernon, and at home Saturday against Marion.
