GRINNELL — The Williamsburg girls’ swimming team finished sixth out of seven teams at the North Central conference meet Saturday in Grinnell.
“As a team, we did not place as high as we may have wished, but the team swam amazingly,“ Williamsburg head coach Mindy Wuebker said.
“Our 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays had best times and individually 23 personal records.”
The 400-relay placed fourth.
Selah Smith made the podium with two fourth-place finishes, in the 200 individual medley and in the 100 freestyle.
The Raiders now gear up for the state qualifying meet Nov. 9 in Johnston.
