Raiders head into second half of season

WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg girls swimming team is coming off a busy stretch of four meets in 10 days.

In those four meets, the Raiders racked up a total of 747 team points, most recently with 359 at their second home meet Monday where they finished runner-up.

It was a finish head coach Mindy Wuebker was happy to see, coming within 30 points of North Central Conference opponent, Grinnell.

In the six-team field, Williamsburg totaled six podium finishes. Selah Smith won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:31.52.

At the Muskie Invite Sept. 6, Selah Smith took home gold in the 200-yard freestyle.

The Raiders now head into their second half of the season with a quad meet Tuesday at Cedar Rapids Kennedy. Four meets will follow that before the North Central meet Oct. 23 at Grinnell College Natatorium.
