Raiders start season with win and a draw

WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg boys soccer team won its home opener 7-0 Thursday against Mid-Prairie.
The Raiders led 3-0 at halftime and added four more goals in the final 40 minutes of the match.
After the first week of the season, the Raiders are 1-0-1, tying Fort Madison 2-2 earlier in the week.
With the new rules in place for soccer, all regular season games tied after the end of regulation, will end in a draw.
