Rainy Saturday postpones area games
First-round district games to be played Monday

A rainy Saturday across Eastern Iowa caused all five area Class 1A first-round district baseball games to be postponed to Monday.
Montezuma vs. Lone Tree (at Lisbon), tried to move up the start time to beat the weather, but play was suspended. All other games were called before play began.
All games will now be played at their originally scheduled Saturday times Monday night.
The move makes for a busy Monday for area competition. Also Monday will be the first-round 1A regional softball games in which four area teams will be competing.
Any district winners from Monday won’t have much time off; second-round games are scheduled for Tuesday.
