We have a team of dedicated caseworkers to help Iowans navigate issues with the federal government, including the IRS and the VA.

Tax Refund Issue: Resolved.

We recently had a constituent contact my office for a missing tax refund. With our assistance, the family received their full refund.

Driver's License Issue: Resolved.

A constituent reached out after struggling to renew her driver’s license and needed special accommodations. We were able to help her set up her driving test with those accommodations, and she passed, receiving her updated license.

VA benefits: Delivered.

Another constituent reached out after losing her husband to Glioblastoma linked to Agent Orange exposure. She had been waiting on her DIC claim (a monthly benefit from the VA that helps support families who lost a loved one in the military), so our office contacted the VA on her behalf. We were able to help get her approved — she received back pay and is now set up to receive DIC benefits moving forward.

Missing funds: Received.

A constituent contacted my team because the Office of Personnel and Management was sending her money to someone else's account. She was facing serious health issues and needed those funds for medical bills. We worked with OPM, and she has now received the funds she was owed.
