Reineke, Kilgard tie at regionals
Two area girls golfers competed in the Class 1A Region 4 Meet Wednesday, May 15, at Monticello Golf and Country Club.
Belle Plaine senior Jacey Reineke and Iowa Valley senior Brooklyn Kilgard both carded a 103 round and finished tied for 24th.
Also Wednesday, the BGM girls finished sixth at the Class 1A Region 5 Meet at Honey Creek Resort in Moravia.
BGM carded a 478. Highland won with a 350 and New London also advanced to state with a 389.
Scoring for BGM were freshman Ana Coleman (111), sophomore Aurelia Roudabush (115), freshman Averee Krebill (121) and sophomore Shaye Strong (131). Also playing: sophomore Macey Heishman (157).
