MONTEZUMA — Roberta See was invited to share her memories about Candyland Station at a recent meeting of the Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society in Montezuma.
See ran the restaurant at the historic Pioneer Station in Grinnell from 2011 to 2020. The restaurant featured candy land sundaes that were served for years at Cunningham drugstore in Grinnell.
The Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet again Thursday, Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Carnegie building, 200 South Third Street in Montezuma.
The program, "Seven Steps to Moonshine," will be presented by the Tennessee Hillbilly, Junior Sharp. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.
