Seeking Santa
Deep River children shared their Christmas wishes and had their photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus during their stop at the Deep River American Legion Saturday, Dec. 16. Santa arrived at the Legion riding on the back of a Deep River Fire Truck. Each youngster received an old-fashioned treat bag and a toy. Hot chocolate and cookies were served at the annual event. After leaving the Legion, Santa went around town knocking on doors and handing out treat bags. (J.O. Parker/Chronicle Republican)
