Tigers go 2-2 in Colfax Tournament
The Iowa Valley volleyball team kicked off its season in Colfax Saturday, going 2-2 in four matches.
The Tigers defeated East Marshall and Nodaway Valley in two sets and fell in two sets to Coon Rapids-Bayard and GMG.
Lydia Kriegel had 27 kills on the day.
Former Raiders begin collegiate XC seasons
Four Raider preps kicked off their collegiate cross-county seasons this weekend.
Wes Hulseburg ran a time of 16:35 in his first collegiate race for Wartburg at the Mustang Gallop in Cedar Rapids Friday night.
Also racing in Cedar Rapids was Ruth Jennings of Mount Mercy who placed eighth in 20:03 and Zada Buccholtz of Southeastern Community College placing 37th in a time of 22:27.
At Simpson College, Tori Yunggebauer placed seventh, crossing the line in 17:25 in the 4 km race.
