The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union announced Monday that, starting in the fall 2025 season, the State swimming and diving meet will take place at University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
The agreement is set for 2025-28.
“We are excited to have the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center hosting the Girls State Swimming and Diving Championships,” said IGHSAU Executive Director Erin Gerlich in a press release Monday.

Soccer changes coming in 2025
Through approval of both the IGHSAU and Iowa High School Athletic Association boards, several changes will be coming to the spring soccer season.
Among the key rule changes is that any regular season ending in a tie will be a draw.
For the boys’ side only, the IHSAA approved that each level can now play 17 total matches. This matches the IGHSAU number.
