The Iowa High School Athletic Association announced locations today for the next four Iowa High School State Baseball Tournaments
“Thanks to a great team effort, our state baseball tournament will continue to be showcased at first-class facilities with outstanding hosts,” IHSAA executive director Tom Keating said in a press release Tuesday.
For the summer of 2025, the usual split tournament between classes will stay in Carroll and head westward to Sioux City.
Tournament dates for the 2025 tournament are July 21-25.
Sioux City’s Lewis & Clark post will host Classes 3A and 4A.
The minor league Sioux City Explorers play their home games at the venue.
Merchants Park in Carroll will continue to host Class 1A and 2A through 2028.
Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids won’t have to wait long to get back to hosting the upper two classes in the state tournament.
After hosting for the first time ever in 2024, it has reached an agreement to host 2026-2028.
Scheduling conflicts with the Cedar Rapids Kernels’s home schedule in 2025, prohibited Cedar Rapids bidding for that year.
“Our sincere appreciation goes out to these communities and ballparks for hosting these tournaments,” IHSAA baseball administrator Andy Umthun said in a press release Tuesday.
“We’re excited state baseball will visit Sioux City for the first time, and we know returning to Carroll and Cedar Rapids will also provide great experiences for our schools and student-athletes.”
