Striegel shows overall grand champion pen of 3
SIGOURNEY — The 2024 4-H and FFA Beef Show was held July 20 at the 2024 Keokuk County Expo Fair.
Purple and blue ribbons for the beef pen of three were awarded to Finley Achenbach, Addison Achenbach, Aubrey Achenbach, Colton Mikesell, Taylor Mikesell, Cael O'Rourke, Collyns O'Rourke, Michelle Jacobs, Johnathan Jacobs, Stephen Jacobs, Isaac Striegel, Gabe Thompson and Tierney Greiner.
Striegel, with Keota FFA, showed the overall grand champion beef pen of three.
Overall reserve grand champion beef pen of three was awarded to Jonathan Jacobs, with the Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club.
Senior champion beef pen of three was shown by Striegel. The intermediate champion beef pen of three was shown by Jonathan Jacobs, of the Patriotic Panthers 4-H Club.
Stephen Jacobs, with the Patriotic Panthers, showed the junior champion beef pen of three.
Greiner, with the Lafayette Feeders 4-H Club, won champion rate of gain beef pen of three.
Reserve champion rate of gain beef pen of three went to Jonathan Jacobs, of the Patriotic Panthers.
Greiner took champion beef pen of three carcass, and Jonathan Jacobs had the reserve champion beef pen of three carcass.
