Support a Vet, Save a Pet 5K returns

WILLIAMSBURG — The first Support a Vet Save a Pet 5k/Fun Run, held in Williamsburg Nov. 9, drew 248 participants.
The number pleased race director Amanda Wiebold.
The 2025 race is set for Saturday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m.
Proceeds will go to support local veterans and the Safe Haven Iowa County animal shelter again this year.
The race will begin at the Williamsburg town square.
Race registration will be $25 and includes a T-shirt guaranteed for everyone who registers by Oct. 15. Race-day registration will cost $30.

Hit The Bricks Race
Williamsburg is also the site of another race, Saturday, Aug. 9. .
The 37th annual Hit the Bricks Race will begin at Williamsburg High School at 8 a.m. Race options include a 5K, 10k and a 1K fun run.
