‘The Bachelorette Party’ comes to Amana

AMANA — The lightning-quick farce “The Bachelorette Party” is coming to The Amana Performing Arts Center in November.
The play by Karen Schaeffer opens Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and continues Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m.
The Amana Performing Arts Center is located at 39 38th Ave., Amana. The performance is sponsored by Ox Yoke Inn.
Subtitled “Girls Weekend 2,” the play follows the characters from Schaeffer’s “Girls Weekend” as they return to Dot’s Northwoods cabin for Meg’s bachelorette party.“
Marcia Hughes is Dot in the November performance. Deb Kennedy takes the role of Margaret Mary Lahm, Lisa Marolin is Carol, Ryan Gaffney is Rick and Brie Bevans is Ellie.
Rounding out the cast are Andrew Cartier as Bubba, Adam Burnham as Stephen, Scot Hughes as Sheriff Tom Lane, Dana Jensen as Deputy Brenna Casburn and Ken Van Egdon as Mr. Smitty.“
Jonesy McElroy directs the play. Tom Milligan is stage manager and assistant director.
