I continue to hear from Iowans who are concerned about the devastating national security and humanitarian crisis at our southern border.
Every day we turn on the news and see a new staggering statistic or horror story because of President Biden’s self-made border crisis.
For example, this week we learned that the Border Patrol’s Del Rio sector has arrested at least 21 child sex predators crossing the border illegally since Oct. 1. As a mom, that is disgusting and frightening.
Yet the Biden Administration continues to turn a blind eye to the border crisis and simply peddle the lie that the border is secure, telling Americans not to worry about this horrific and worsening emergency.
I won’t stand by. I will continue to offer solutions and hold the Biden Administration accountable for their gross failures at our border. I led two bills to do just that.
The PRINTS Act gives U.S. Customs and Border Protection the authority to fingerprint noncitizens under the age of 14 to prevent heinous child trafficking and recycling at the Southern Border.
The Southern Border Transparency Act requires the Administration to provide the American people with the full date associated with their catch-and-release policies and widening of asylum loopholes.
Enough is enough. I’ll continue leading the charge to finally secure our Southern Border and keep Americans safe.
