Track opens in Wamac Conference
GRINNELL — Williamsburg competed in the Wamac Indoor Tuesday, March 19, at Grinnell College.
No team scores were kept.
Ava Hocker won gold for the Raiders, placing first in the 400 in 1:00.28. She also ran the anchor leg on the winning 4 x 400 relay, finishing it after Analise DeWitt, Graceyn Uhlmann and Phoenix Gryp ran the first three legs.
Aside from Adam Arp winning the 60-meter wheelchair, the Raider boys’ best finish was the third-place 4 x 800 relay of Devin Busch, Peyton Stowers, Landon Batcheler, and Noah Estling. They finished in 8 minutes, 44.54 seconds.
