Truck collides with Harley in Marengo

MARENGO — Craig A. Hawkins, 52, of Marengo was injured Saturday, Oct. 19 in a head-on collision in Marengo Saturday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Zane Pope, 19, of Conroy, was northbound on Western Avenue in a 2019 Ford F250 and made a right turn onto West Miller Street, colliding head-on with Hawkins, who was driving a 2021 Harley-Davidson FLHX westbound on West Miller.
Hawkins was taken by Iowa County EMS to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and Marengo Police assisted at the scene.
