GRINNELL — UnityPoint Health-Grinnell has appointed Angela Claytor executive director of hospital operations and Vicky Suiter director of clinic operations.
With extensive experience in healthcare leadership, both Claytor and Suiter bring a shared passion for collaboration and high-quality care, said UnityPoint in a press release.
Claytor joins the Grinnell team after serving as senior clinic administrator at Blank Children’s Hospital. With more than 25 years of experience at UnityPoint Health, Claytor’s career spans a variety of roles including human resources, medical education and clinic and hospital operations, according to UnityPoint.
In addition to her professional work, Claytor has served as a mentor within the UnityPoint Health system. Claytor holds a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in healthcare from Drake University and a doctorate in healthcare administration from A.T. Still University.
Claytor lives in the Des Moines area and is mother to three adult daughters and grandmother to seven grandchildren, including two sets of twins.
Suiter has been with UnityPoint Health for nine years, UnityPoint said in the press release. Most recently, Suiter served as core laboratory manager at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
In previous roles, Suiter worked as the director of regulatory compliance and laboratory services in Grinnell, where she provided oversight for compliance, privacy, risk management, accreditation, food and nutrition, sleep lab and lab services.
Suiter graduated from South Dakota State University with degrees in microbiology and medical laboratory technology.
Suiter lives in Lynnville with her husband and her family. She enjoys going for walks with her dogs, listening to audiobooks and watching her children participate in activities that they enjoy, the press release said.
