DES MOINES — The price of regular unleaded gasoline held steady, averaging $3.28 across Iowa the last full week of July, according to AAA.

Crude Oil Summary

The price of global crude oil fell on the West Texas Intermediate by $5.66 per barrel to $77.01.

Brent crude oil fell by $3.96 to $81.00.

One year ago, WTI crude sold for $78.74 and Brent crude was at $82.53.

Motor Fuels

As of July 24, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.28 across Iowa, according to AAA.

Prices held steady from the prior week and were down nine cents from a year ago.

The national average July 24 was $3.51, steady from previous week.

Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell three cents, with a statewide average of $3.52.

One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.63 in Iowa.

The Iowa diesel price July 24 was 31 cents lower than the national average of $3.83.

Wholesale ethanol held steady at $2.16.

The Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices July 24 were $2.31 for U87-E10, $2.61 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $2.44 for ULSD#2, $2.69 for ULSD#1 and $2.13 per gallon for E-70 prices.

Heating Fuels

Natural gas prices rose nine cents at the Henry Hub reporting site to $2.15/mmBtu.
