Victor American Legion give awards
VICTOR — Tom Thys was named Veteran of the Year for Iowa County during American Legion awards in Victor in December.
Jane Bazun and Judy Wacha spearheaded an effort to get quilts to as many veterans as possible. Bill Westerfield received a Quilt of Honor and Ray Meek a Quilt of Valor during the December awards ceremony.
Jessica Craig was named EMT of the Year and Keith Kempf was Firefighter of the Year, as was Dan Stowell.
Lon Fisher, of Sign By Fisher, and business manager Amy received certificates of appreciation as did Mary Roberts and Sharon Hopwood.
