Victor holiday festival set for Dec. 14

VICTOR — The annual Old Fashioned Christmas festival in Victor is set for Saturday, Dec. 14.
The day begins early with breakfast served at The 214 Bar and Grill from 6:30-10 a.m. Santa will be present from 8-10 a.m. Customers can decorate ornaments at 10 a.m.
The 214 Bar is located at 214 Washington St. in Victor.
The Victor library, at 710 Second St., will have crafts from 9 a.m. to noon.
A craft show sponsored by HLV Booster Club will take place in the HLV gymnasiums from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. More than 115 vendors will fill two levels with unique gift items.
Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saint James Lutheran Church, 501 Washington St., will host a candy and cookie walk from 8:30 a.m. until the baked goods are sold out.
St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 104 Third St., will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 214 Bar will serve soup lunches and dinners from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In the afternoon, The 214 Bar will host rolle bolle. Games begin at 1 p.m.
An alumni basketball game between HLV/TC and Iowa Valley begins at 4 p.m. in the HLV upper gymnasium.
Photos with Santa, sponsored by Keystone Savings Bank, will be offered at S & S Appliance, 217 Washington St., from 3:30-6 p.m. Photos will be taken by True Photography by DJ. Treats for the children will be provided by Stowell Construction.
Carnforth Veterinary Clinic will offer pet photos with Santa from 2-4 p.m. at 2241 Old 6 Rd.
Chelsea Savings Bank, 201 Washington St., will have cookie decorating from 4-6 p.m.
Horse-drawn wagon rides are sponsored by Compass Memorial Healthcare from 4-6 p.m.
Saint John’s Lutheran Church will have an open house from 1-7 p.m. with a live Nativity from 4-7 p.m. and hymn singing from 4:30-6 p.m.
The church is located at 2656 CC Ave.
HLV Sports Booster Club hosts a tour of homes decked out for the holidays. The tour homes belong to Mike and Dani O’Brien, 1511 Poweshiek Iowa Rd, Hartwick; Paul and Ann Sauter, 2761 CC Ave., Victor; and Val Hansen, 616 Washington St., Victor.
Tickets are $10 per person; children ages 5 and younger will be admitted free.
Tickets for the House Walk will be available at the craft show at HLV gym, at Victor’s Market and at any tour home.
A fireworks display, sponsored by Brooklyn Community Estate and Rose Haven Nursing Home, will light the dark sky at 6:15 p.m.
DJ Chris Roggentien will close out the festival at The 214 Bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
