Warriors run at Savage Relays

The Warrior boys and girls both participated in the Savage Relays at Sigourney on April 25. The girls placed 6th with 41 points out of the 14-team field while the boys placed 10th with 21 points. Scoring for the girls was Ema Roberts 1st in the high jump at 5’0 (tie meet record she set last year), 2nd place in 100 in 13.52, 1st in the 200 at 27.41 breaking the meet and track record, and 1st in the 400 at 1:00.75. Nicole Gensley tied for 4th in the high jump going 4’8”.

The boys saw Austin Van Hamme finish in 6th in the 3200 with a time of 12:26.05. Hunter Bazyn finished 6th in the 400 hurdles at 1:01.66. The 4 x 400 team of Tyler Ballard, Hunter Bazyn, Landyn Ankrum and Brody Sternhagen finished in 6th 3:57.13. The sprint medley team placed 3rd at 1:142.15 with Ballard, Bazyn, Ankrum and Sternhagen running again. Boston York placed 4th in the shot with a put of 41” 10.5.” Brody Sternhagen finished 2nd in the 400 with a 52.39.
