Wiegand is Theodore Roosevelt in November performance

AMANA — Performer Joe Wiegand is the world's premiere Theodore Roosevelt reprisor, and as an actor and historian, his portrayals of Roosevelt have entertained audiences in all 50 states and internationally.

TKM Theatrical Productions is sponsoring Teddy Returns: A Theodore Roosevelt Thanksgiving at Price Creek Event Center, 4709 220th Trail in Amana Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m.

Doors will open at noon for a holiday feast by host Yana Cutler.

Wiegant works for the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation in Medora, North Dakota, TKM said in a press release. He’s a 31-year member of Rotary International and a member of the National Association for Interpretation.

Wiegant’s performance tour is highlighted in summer by a daily matinee in Medora, gateway to Theodore Roosevelt National Park and future home of Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.

TKM Theatrical Productions, a charitable nonprofit theatrical production company founded by Tom Milligan and Deb Kennedy, is beginning its 11th season serving Eastern Iowa communities.
