A 9-2 drubbing of South Tama and hard-fought 1-0 win over Solon last week improved the record of the Williamsburg boys' soccer team to 9-3.
The Raiders rolled past the Trojans Monday, May 1, at Williamsburg, rallying in the second half to break a 2-2 tie at intermission.
Sophomore Mason Eggleston scored seven of the Raiders' nine goals, and senior Braeden Brown tallied the other two.
Senior Saul Martinez and sophomores Connor Westcott and Brayson Doehrmann contributed assists.
Brown scored the only goal of the match off an assist by Martinez as Williamsburg beat Solon for the first time ever Thursday, May 4, at Solon.
Goal keeper Loghan Rethwisch played all 80 minutes and thwarted 13 shots by the Spartans while notching his fourth shutout of the year.
Eggelston and Brown share the team leads in goals scored this season with 15 apiece.
