Williamsburg crowns two champs at home

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg crowned two champions and finished seventh as a team Monday, Dec. 4, at its own 28-team Williamsburg Girls’ Invitational.

Madison Kirby (115 pounds) and Phoenix Gryp (145) won crowns for the Raiders.

“Both looked good and I am excited to watch them compete this season,” Williamsburg Coach Drew Hinschberger said. “I think this team has a lot of potential and we are seeing great growth.”

East Buchanan won the team title.

Iowa Valley finished 14th, led by Breanna Peach, who won gold at 235. English Valleys/Tri-County was 23rd.
