ALTOONA — Jared (Jerry) Powell of Williamsburg was honored for 60 of dedication to funeral service by the Iowa Funeral Directors Association Convention this year.
Powell was one of two funeral directors in the state to receive recognition by peers and colleagues for 60 years of service to Iowa communities.
This year’s Annual IFDA Convention featured highly regarded local and national funeral service speakers who spoke on a variety of topics related to the funeral service profession. The Annual IFDA Convention provides funeral directors with a forum to receive and exchange information so they may return home with new ideas that will allow them to better serve the families in their communities.
IFDA represents over 600 Iowa licensed funeral directors and 290 funeral home establishments throughout the state. Its mission is to promote and support funeral service excellence. For more information, visit www.iafda.org.
