Williamsburg girls prep for WaMac West championship play

Williamsburg's girls' golf team made its final tuneup for the WaMaC West Divisional Championships by beating Benton Community in a dual meet Thursday, April 27, at Tara Hills Country Club, Van Horne.
The Raiders totaled 181 strokes over 9 holes, led by meet medalist Jaisel Bott, who shot a six-over-par 42. Kaylee Culp complimented Bott's round with a runner-up medalist 44, followed by Julianne Miller (47), Mallory Jones (48) and Emma Malloy (48). The win improved Williamsburg's record to 16-7 heading back to Tara Hills, where Coach Todd Subbert's Raiders will try to defend their WaMaC West title.
Fifth at Solon
Williamsburg placed fifth out of seven teams in the Lady Spartan Invitational Tuesday, April 25, at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course, Solon. The Raiders shot a 370 over 18 holes. Solon and Washington shared the team title with 341's. Bott led Williamsburg with an 89, trailed by Drew Schropp (99), Miller (101), Kenzie Driscoll (102) and Malloy (104). Washington's Makenna Conrad (79) and Solon's Taylor Dee (81) were medalist and runner-up, respectively.
