Williamsburg, Montezuma open season ranked
Four other WaMaC schools on list

Williamsburg came in at No. 10 in Class 3A in the first official girls’ basketball rankings, released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Friday morning.
Williamsburg returns most of last season’s production.
The Raiders will be put to the test right away, opening their season against Class 3A No. 4 Monticello Nov. 30 at Rivalry Saturday, hosted by Kirkwood Comminity College.
The Raiders are not the only WaMaC ranked team.
Clear Creek Amana, coming off an undefeated season, comes in at No. 5 in Class 4A.
In Class 3A, Mount Vernon is ranked second, Center Point-Urbana 12th and West Delaware 14th.
Montezuma comes in at No. 3 in Class 1A.
The Bravettes return three starters from their state qualifying team last season, including leading scorer Ellen Cook.
The other South Iowa Cedar League school in the rankings is North Mahaska, coming in at No. 4 in Class 2A.
The Warhawks defeated the Bravettes 51-32 Friday night to open the season.
