Williamsburg soccer teams face Mount Vernon, Marion, West Liberty

Williamsburg's boys' soccer team split matches against Mount Vernon and Marion last week, while the girls lost to both of those schools and West Liberty.
Coach Ryan Sauser's Raider boys beat the Mustangs in two extra periods on their home pitch Tuesday, April 25, 2-1. Sophomores Brayson Doehrmann and Mason Eggleston scored goals for Williamsburg, and Eggelston and Braeden Brown contributed assists. Goalkeeper Logan Rethwisch played all 98 minutes and collected 11 saves.
Williamsburg lost 2-0 to unbeaten and unscored upon Marion Friday, April 29, at Marion. It was just the second time this season in 10 outings the Raiders have been shutout, leaving them with a 7-3 record, including 4-2 in the WaMaC, 3-1 West Division.
Williamsburg's girls were blanked by both Mount Vernon and Marion via 3-0 scores, and up to their five points on penalty kicks against West Liberty, had gone scoreless 520 consecutive minutes. Individual statistics were not available.
