Nine of those wrestlers came away with state medals ranging from runner-up to sixth place.
Williamsburg’s Cecelia Gryp and Montezuma’s Braxton Plants bodies of work, and how they finished, stood out among the rest.

Gryp finished the season with a 41-12 record, the second most wins of any area girls wrestler, and finished third in the Class 1A 130-pound bracket at the state tournament in early February at Xtream Arena.
