Woman dies in one-car accident

HOLBROOK — A South English woman is dead following a one-car accident south of Holbrook Friday.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office received report of a single-vehicle accident at 8:36 a.m. Jan. 17 near the intersection of 325th St. and TT Avenue in rural North English, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Jessica Patch, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff’s report says that Patch was eastbound on 325th Street and failed to navigate the curve near TT Avenue on the ice-covered roadway. The 1999 Toyota 4Runner Patch was driving entered a ditch and overturned.
Patch was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car, according to the press release.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa County Ambulance Service and Wellman First Responders and Fire Department.
