Youth Theatre presents ‘Johnny & Me“
AMANA — The Amana Youth Theatre campers have been working with theatrical professionals for five days and are ready to perform.
The children, age 7 and older, will perform an original musical by Deb Kennedy, “Johnny & Me,” inspired by the children’s book “Bad Apple.”
The original music was composed by Travis Smith.
Johnny is a Jonagold apple who befriends Will the worm. Johnny is bullied by the other apples in the orchard, but through love — and song — the other apples learn the error of their ways and harmony is restored.
The show is set for 7 p.m. Friday, June 14 at the Amana Performing Arts Center, 39 38th Ave. in Amana.
Tickets are $10 for adults. Children will be admitted free.
