220th Street bridge closes week of June 6

MT. PLEASANT — Beginning June 6 a bridge project for 220th Street, east of Nebraska Avenue, will create a road closure for approximately four months.
According to Henry County Engineer Jake Hotchkiss, the project is to replace the small bridge with a twin 12’x10’ box culvert. Work will take approximately four months to complete.
The prime contractor for the project is Iowa Bridge & Culvert.
A marked detour route will be posted to send traffic around on U.S. Highway 34 toward New London.
