A new Henry County Leadership class is selected

MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce and ISU Extension and Outreach have selected the class participants for Henry County Leadership 2022-2023.
These classes are designed as a skills-building program to identify and motivate emerging community leaders, provide education focused on leadership skills and community awareness, and engage participants to engage within the community.
The following individuals make up the 2022-2023 Leadership Class:

Triple Seven Trucking Director of Operations Morgan Barton
Henry County Farm Bureau outreach Coordinator Jaci Beaird
Access Energy Cooperative Electrical Engineer Kassi Bulen
Southeast Iowa Realty Office Manager and Realtor Samantha Johnson
Henry County Extension Family Support Supervisor Amy McLaughlin
Walmart Distribution Center Human Resources Office Manager Lori Meskimen
Walmart Distribution Center Systems Manager Ashley Peiffer
Iowa Wesleyan University Director of Graduate and Professional Studies Devin Rings
First interstate Bank Retail Manager Amber Robertson

Beginning in October, the class will participate in nine sessions consisting of leadership training and traveling around the county to learn more about our community challenges and opportunities in Henry County.
The nine sessions will include specific topics such as Education; Health Care & Social Services; Economic Development; Local Government, Crime and Safety; State Government; Arts, Culture & Tourism; and Agriculture.
Once this class graduates in May 2023, a total of 79 participants will have completed the training.
