Wednesday evening Addington Place (previously Sunnybrook) hosted a bustling Alive After 5 and ribbon cutting with food, drinks, door prizes, and live music.
Addington Place was loud with chatter from the moment of entering the building.
The food, drinks, and music were all perfect examples of how they choose to go above and beyond.
“Red Carpet Philosophy is part of our resident-first hosipitality-centric approach. Everyday Jaybird Senior Living communities [including Addington Place] are red carpet ready for people who live, work, and visit. It’s this creative attention to details that set us apart,” read a sign displayed on the grand piano.
Food including chocolate covered strawberries, tiramisu, stuffed mushrooms, and much more was prepared by Addington Place’s very own kitchen staff.
During the event, the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce Alliance announced the five finalists for the upcoming small business week next month.
“82% of our Mt. Pleasant businesses have fewer than 20 employees,” said Kristi Perry of the importance of national small business week for Mt. Pleasant.
Addington Place Community Relations Coordinator Cody Flietner announced a new program “Dare to Dream” for residents to live out life-long dreams such as going to a cubs game, visiting their old homes in style, and romantic date nights.
Smiles were found in every corner of this event. More about National Small Business Week and the Dare to Dream program are to come.
