MT. PLEASANT — Whether interested in agriculture, or simply wanting to enjoy a nice evening in downtown Mt. Pleasant, many will celebrate the return of Ag Music on Main next Friday, June 21 from 6-9 p.m. after high temperatures last July prevented the annual event.
This free family-friendly event returns every summer to the streets of downtown Mt. Pleasant with a host of activities including live music, a tractor show, games, a petting zoo, and prizes.
With music from Mt. Pleasant’s very own county music band Linc Hendriksen and the Drifters featured for the free concert of the evening, guests to the downtown can spend the whole evening enjoying the outdoors and community as they celebrate agriculture. While downtown, they can also partake in local delights for dinner as the Henry County Pork Producers and Cattlemen will both serve up delicious options for purchase.
While traditional attractions like the tractor parade, pedal tractor pull, and booths with games will return to this year’s festivities, attendees also will enjoy the addition of miniature cows from Anderson Ranch Minis as they make their way through Central Park.
For Farm Bureau members, the event will feature additional perks as they’re invited to stop at the Henry County Farm Bureau booth to sign up for a giveaway of a cooler filled with Iowa State Fair tickets. Those without memberships can also chat with the Bureau at Music on Ag about the benefits of membership.
