MT. PLEASANT — Ag Music on Main returns to Mt. Pleasant Central Park this Friday, July 28 as the community enjoys the last bits of summer and celebrate agriculture.
This free family friendly event, which returns every July, offers a host of activities to enjoy from 6-9 p.m. such as live music, a tractor show, kids tractor pull, games, and booths from local businesses and organizations.
Henry County Farm Bureau will run one of these booths where Farm Bureau members can pick up their T-shirts, food vouchers, and sign up to win their State Fair Giveaway which will include four Iowa State fair admission tickets, four giant slide tickets, four Ye Old Mill Tickets, and one Buck of Barksdale State Fair Cookies.
While listening to music from Bridge City Country, families can spread out in Central Park and enjoy dinner from Henry County Pork Producers or Henry County Cattleman and even put in their votes for their favorite tractors lined up around the square.
For those wishing to participate in the tractor show this year, they should reach out to Sarah Seitz at henry.county@ifbg.org
Those showing tractors will need to check in at 5:30 p.m. and prepare for a tractor parade at 7 p.m.
The tractors deemed Best of Show and People’s choice will receive prizes of custom coolers from Henry County Farm Bureau.
According to Main Street Mt. Pleasant, “Whether you're interested in learning more about agriculture or simply want to enjoy a great time with friends and family, this event has something for everyone!”
