American Guild of Organists seek nominations
The River Valley Chapter seeks to honor Eastern Iowa church musicians at March concert

IOWA CITY — The American Guild of Organists, River Valley Chapter will present “All Creation Sings,” a worship ceremony honoring local church musicians with experience of over 15 years.
“We’re hoping to honor musicians all over Eastern Iowa including Mt. Pleasant, Washington, and Burlington,” Swedesburg Organist and Even Coordinator Christopher Arp said.
Church musicians honored at this event, scheduled for March 9, with include organists, pianists, vocal choir directors, bell choir directors, music directors and others that have served a combined 15 years or more in any of these positions.
The “All Creation Sings” concert will be held at 3 p.m. at the Voxman Music Building Concert Hall on the University of Iowa. Before that, however, the guild is asking churches and individuals in Eastern Iowa to submit names, mailing addresses, years of service, and most recent position titles to Arp, by email at 2025rvago@gmail.com or by phone at (319) 582-4123 by Feb. 10.
This concert was originally planned for April 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those people who were set to be honored in 2020 are asked to please update your contact information and years of service via email or voicemail.
Invitations to attend will be sent to musicians whose names have been submitted. Certificates of appreciation will be presented at the concert or mailed to those honorees unable to attend.
