WINFIELD — Residence of Sunrise Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center finds ways to incorporate animals into the care of their residents.
Recently, the residents received a visit from a friendly calf.
They enjoyed seeing the calf around the facility and petting the sweet animal.
While this sweet calf will not become a Sunrise Terrace resident anytime soon, the Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is set to welcome a different animal friend in the near future.
With an approving vote from the residents, the center will welcome a sweet female Golden Doodle puppy into the Sunrise Terrace family Oct. 20.
Sunrise Terrace staff are excited for residence to create a bond with the newest addition, and once again, enjoy the unconditional love of a pet.
DoodleBlessings of Crawfordsville worked with the center to provide the right puppy.
“She gets to spend her life loving on people,” DoodleBlessings Owner Christina Collier said of her excitement for the puppy.
The community is invited to meet the newest part of the family at a “Prepping the Puppy” shower 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24 at Sunrise Terrace.
