Arbor Court Remodels

MT. PLEASANT — Wednesday The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber celebrated Arbor Court joining the chamber.

Arbor Court held a ribbon cutting to commemorate the event.

Residence and guests enjoyed music and refreshments.

The residents at Arbor Court, however, celebrated all week for National Nursing Home Week.

The week included a barbecue meal, Taco Tuesday, cookies, brownies, beach day, nineties day and even the introduction of a new activities director.

Arbor Court is accepting and encouraging visitors at their newly remodeled facility.

“We always welcome those who want to, to tour,” Administrator Kerri Menke.

Recently, the facility installed new flooring and painted nearly all of the pea soup green walls.

Some residents were even able to choose the color of their rooms.

In addition to welcoming visitors for tours, Arbor Court encourages the community to reach out for volunteering opportunities.

Volunteering at Arbor Court is as simple as reaching out with your passion and scheduling when you can come in.

Previously they have had volunteers run church services, special music, coffee with donuts, and even animal visits.
