ARPA fund administration contract awarded

MT. PLEASANT — As the county continues to approve disbursement of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, they have sought assistance for the additional administrative work through a contract with Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission (SEIRPC).

The Board of Supervisors approved the new contract with SEIRPC to perform administration tasks associated with ARPA funding reporting in the future.

Resolution 45-2022 resolved that $10,000 of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, as part of the ARPA, are authorized and directed to be used for payment to SEIRPC for this purpose.

The resolution and approval of the contract were approved unanimously.

Some of the most recent ARPA funds were awarded to the Henry County Jail for the installation of two keyless entries in the amount of $19,178 and the roads department for bathroom renovations in the amount of $18,000.
