Ash Avenue culvert replacement delayed

MT. PLEASANT — Due to unforeseen circumstances, the construction company selected for the work on the Ash Avenue Culvert replacement delayed the project by just over a week.

While Henry County Engineer Jake Hotchkiss originally anticipated work to begin March 22 just south of Hillsboro, the project will now begin May 31.

Projected completion for the project still remains at approximately two months depending on weather.

“There is a posted detour route, please drive with caution,” the Engineer’s Office stated.

The detour will direct traffic to Highway 16, Franklin Avenue, and Salem Road to avoid the construction.
