MT. PLEASANT — Rain threatened and dribbled throughout the Old Threshers Reunion, but that did not stop the Bellamy Brothers from taking the stage.
“They told us it had been 32 years since we’d been here,” David Bellamy said. “We told them to not wait so long before they have us back.”
Old-school relaxed country music, with plenty of peace and love hippie-type vibes, filled the grandstands and brought life to the end of the day, Friday Night.
The duo played some of their most popular songs as a peaceful gathering listened, laughed, and danced with the Iowa Craft Beers in hand.
The Bellamy Brothers have performed together since the 1970s.
Their most popular songs, “Let Your Love Flow” and “If I Said You had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold it Against Me),” elicited many enthusiastic screams of approval.
